American Photography Archives Group: Benefit Auction 2023

The American Photography Archives Group (APAG) is proud to offer "Icons of the 20th Century", a unique selection of photographs that include Marilyn Monroe, Martin Luther King, Jr, John Lennon, David Bowie, John F. Kennedy, Dizzy Gillespie, and Billie Holiday, among others. The photographers in this "Icons" selection include: Jill Freedman, Bob Gruen, Milton H. Greene, Pete Souza, Sam Shaw, and Ruth Orkin. In addition, works by Janette Beckman, Tseng Kwong Chi, Jerry Dantzic, Harold Feinstein, Marvin Newman, Bill Owens, Arthur Rothstein and Neal Slavin are also available. We encourage you to search the entire catalog to see the wide-array of subject matter available. The auction proceeds support APAG's mission of preserving and promoting our member’s archives.

Bidding will be open exclusively on Artsy and will begin to close at 12pm EST on Friday, April 7.

Each work ships from a different location, as noted on the individual lot page. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer and will be determined on an individual basis.

The countdown timer on the artwork pages will display the end time for the lot. Each lot closes in 1-minute increments and will be reset to 2 minutes if a bid is placed within the 2 minutes before the lot's scheduled closing time. For further information please see our FAQ.
