ARTNOIR From: Friends To: Friends Benefit Auction 2022
Artsy and ARTNOIR are excited to present ARTNOIR From: Friends To: Friends Benefit Auction 2022, marking the third collaboration between the platforms. This auction features the work of 29 talented visual artists whose creative approaches are shaping the zeitgeist of contemporary art, including Papay Solomon, Rugiyatou Ylva Jallow, and more.
Bidding will be open exclusively on Artsy and will begin to close at 5:00 pm EST on Wednesday, November 15, 2022.
This auction is an online fundraiser that will provide funding for ARTNOIR’s Jar of Love Fund, a microgrant initiative intended to provide relief for artists, curators, and cultural workers of color; as well as for the Artistic Pathways Scholarship Fund, which offers grants to BIPOC MFA visual art students currently attending CUNY graduate art programs. In 2020, ARTNOIR raised over $100,000 for the Jar of Love Fund and an additional $100,000 for the Artistic Pathways Scholarship Fund.
Additionally, a portion of funds raised will support ARTNOIR’s operational costs and keep our events free to our community. All of these initiatives build on our purpose to help establish new narratives and access within the arts and culture spheres.
ARTNOIR is a global collective and a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to celebrate and highlight the work of creatives of color from around the world while catalyzing cultural equity across the arts and culture industries. We instigate all of the arts disciplines and expose the intersectionality of visual art, music, literature, cinema, design, and other artistic mediums to multicultural audiences. ARTNOIR offers an alternative perspective to the traditional arts narrative, supports the freedom of artistic expression for all, and provides a platform for bold acts of creativity and storytelling.
