Artsy Auction: Post-War & Contemporary (November 2022)
Artsy presents an auction of standout post-war and contemporary works by leading artists across generations. Opening the sale is an exciting capsule of four works offered directly by the artists who created them: Chloe Wise, Alec Egan, Jonny Niesche, and Shona McAndrew. Each artist has identified an organization whom they wish to directly support with proceeds, emphasizing their social activism.
The sale overall features noteworthy lots for seasoned and emerging collectors alike, including original pieces by Frank Stella, Alice Neel, Norman Lewis, and Ugo Rondinone; pop art by David Hockney, Andy Warhol, and James Rosenquist; and works by rising talents such as Robert Nava, Virginia Overton, and Clare Rojas—and much more.
A portion of the proceeds from this auction will benefit Vote Save America’s Immediate Abortion Access Fund, which provides direct aid to patients and abortion clinics on the front lines of healthcare—namely those most affected by new abortion bans and restrictions in BIPOC, rural, and low-income communities.
Bidding in the auction will start to close on Thursday, November 17th at 12pm EST.
Each work ships from a different location, as noted on the individual lot page. Please reach out to [email protected] for any further information.
