Friends Seminary: Benefit Auction 2022

The oldest continuously operating co-educational independent school in New York City, Friends Seminary educates over 750 students, rooting its academic program in Quaker values and engaging students and families to "engage in the world that is and to help bring about a world that ought to be.” Inherent to this mission is building a community that represents the diversity of the city, and a community where all families can fully participate in the Friends experience regardless of financial need.

Friends Seminary's unique history connects it to the art culture of New York City; the School has educated the children of renowned artists, many of whom live in the surrounding neighborhoods. A robust arts program has always been a part of a Friends education, and we continue to encourage parents in the creative community to apply for admission to the School. In our dedication to making Friends affordable for all families, proceeds from this sale will create Artists for Artists, a fund that will contribute specifically to financial aid packages for the children of practicing artists.
