Kasmin Gallery: Benefit Auction 2023 in Support of Artistic Noise

Kasmin, in collaboration with Artsy, is proud to present an online silent auction in support of Artistic Noise, a Harlem-based nonprofit that creates art making and entrepreneurial experiences for young people whose lives have been impacted by the juvenile court system. Consisting of artists, educators, activists, art therapists, and a community of gifted young people, Artistic Noise holds at its core the belief that art can be a powerful tool to create real-world change and fight back against a variety of societal inequities.

Over thirty participating artists will generously donate the proceeds of the sale of their artwork to Artistic Noise. To supplement the online iteration of the auction, all of the works will be on view at Kasmin on Monday, April 24 from Noon–6 PM, with a public celebration to follow from 6-8 PM. The artists include:

Since 2001, Artistic Noise has created arts programming in collaboration with thousands of young people who have been impacted by the juvenile court system, probationary system, shelter system, foster care system, and more. Their programming creates transformative spaces where court-involved and system-involved young people can be seen, heard, and supported on their pathways to adulthood. Working within a number of different settings, from detention facilities to diversionary and preventative programs, their workshops create opportunities to explore identities, experiences, and complex socio-political issues in a safe and structured, creative environment.
