Los Angeles Center of Photography: Benefit Auction 2024

Artsy is pleased to present Los Angeles Center of Photography: Benefit Auction 2024 featuring artworks by notable artists such as Jeff Bridges, Arno Rafael Minkkinen, Herb Ritts, Aline Smithson and Art Streiber.

Photographers tell us what we cannot recognize or forget to see about the world around us. They capture, highlight and frame moments lost to us, the hidden corners of our day-to day; they bring the iconic closer to us, and make us feel closer to icons, and, at times, they make us feel like ones. The photographers participating in this auction are curious about our surrounding and how we can re-imagine it: from portraiture to natural forces, from conceptual turns to documentarian approaches. Their wandering eyes help us tell ourselves the stories of our cultures, their pasts and potential futures.

Bidding for this auction will take place exclusively on Artsy and will begin to close on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 12:00pm PDT (3:00pm EDT).

All artworks will ship from different locations as noted on the lot pages. All shipping costs and applicable fees, including the 15% Buyer's Premium and sales tax (CA residents only), are the responsibility of the buyer. Buyers will be invoiced the cost of shipping.
