New York Academy of Art - Artists for Artists: Live Benefit Auction 2021

The New York Academy of Art was founded in 1982 by artists, scholars and patrons of the arts, including Andy Warhol, to foster a resurgence in the training of figurative and representational art. The Academy has since developed into a 501 (c)(3) non-profit cultural institution housing the nation’s first graduate school of figurative art.

Artists for Artists Benefit Auction exists to provide funding for emerging artists to study at the New York Academy of Art. This year’s event takes place on December 14 at Sotheby's and honors Peter Saul. The auction features a wide and excellent variety of works from Academy students, alumni, faculty, and friends. Thank you to the many artists who have generously donated their work to support the next generation of artistic talent. As the name suggests, it is the true spirit of the event having artists donate their work to help provide a leg-up to those up and coming. Shipping charges will apply and vary depending on the size of the artwork and the delivery location.

Please note that sales tax applies to any work being shipped or being picked up, and will automatically be applied to the purchase price based on each winning bidder’s registration address. If the Total Purchase Price is equal to or less than $50,000, upon auction close the buyer authorizes us to immediately charge the credit card provided to us during registration. If the Total Purchase Price is greater than $50,000, upon auction close the buyer will receive an invoice with the option to pay by credit card or wire transfer. If for any reason the buyer owes sales tax after the purchase price was collected, Artsy will charge the credit card provided to us during registration for that sales tax upon any change resulting in such sales tax being owed or upon notice from the seller that sales tax is due. If any credit card payment is not approved, the buyer will remain personally liable for all amounts otherwise due.
