Visual AIDS: Benefit Auction 2019

Since 1988, Visual AIDS has used the power of art as a catalyst to provoke dialogue and spur activism in response to HIV/AIDS. Through our mission and programs, Visual AIDS makes the work of HIV+ artists more accessible and visible. We provide a forum for conversations about artists and their work alongside issues like art activism, inequity in health resources, social justice, and the diverse communities affected by HIV/AIDS, offering perspectives often absent from the national dialogue.

This auction supports the work of Visual AIDS and is part of the 14th Visual AIDS Vanguard Awards (VAVA VOOM), Visual AIDS’ annual gala recognizing the achievements and contributions of individuals who strengthen the cultural history of art, AIDS and activism. This year’s honorees are Tom Bianchi, Muna Tseng, and Joyce McDonald. This year’s Silent Auction Chair is David Yarritu.
