Chrome-Plated
About
While this category primarily concerns design objects, it applies to any works featuring a chromium layer that has been electroplated onto all or part of its metal or plastic surface(s). Chrome-plating is used to help surfaces resist abrasion and corrosion, as well as to create a highly polished finish. Chrome is most often associated with automobiles, particularly those of the 1950s and ’60s.
