About
For almost 70 years The Royal Over-Seas League has developed a diverse portfolio of activities in music, visual arts, and literature, with a devotion to the career development of talented young visual artists, musicians and writers from around the world.
ROSL is a not-for-profit private members’ club, that has been bringing like-minded people together since 1910. Founded to maintain the positive cultural connections in the Commonwealth, since inception ROSL has been Non-sectarian, Non-party, Open to women and non-jingoist. With the support of our members and through our international connections, a programme of artistic activities has developed over the past 70 years, including our prestigious Annual Music Competition, concerts, artistic residencies and a programme of exhibitions in our Central London clubhouse. With a focus on contemporary art and supporting emerging talent, we partner with Galleries and organisations introduce new art to our 16,000 members and the wider public, to who our exhibitions are always open.
