Sausage Dog, Monkey and a slice of bread
sit on the moss at the forest’s edge.
Dog says
‘It is the kind of moon that I would want to send back to my ancestors.’
Monkey looks up and adds
‘And gift to my descendants.’
‘So they know that the moon is made of cheese –’
the slice of bread (as always) agrees.
