When Jon Imber (1950-2014) was courting his future wife, artist Jill Hoy, their first date was an outing to draw landscapes in Maine. Imber often used his on-the-spot pastels as inspirations for oils on canvas. Thus, these works became "first dates" with beloved subjects. This exh
