Statement

Italy has forever been a destination for travelers in search of pure beauty , amazing landscapes architectures . Two contemporary Italian artists share their personal interpretation of those journeys , and turn them into either romantic, punk, narrative and surreal artworks.

Laura Giardino and Michael Rotondi are paired in this double solo show, which explores their view on contemporary Italian aesthetics, going from urban backgrounds to traditional sea views , and based on the use of multiple medias and techniques. Their gaze on the shape of our country today, is sometimes mysterious and surreal, as for Laura Giardino's paintings, and sometimes punk and narrative, as for the artworks by Michael Rotondi.
