It all starts on the lawn outside the main entrance to ARoS. Here, a severed ear in wax is discovered. The ear is a true copy of the one discovered in the grass by the protagonist in the film Blue Velvet by David Lynch. The ear marks the beginning of a narrative.

From Saturday 25 November, visitors to ARoS will be treated to Danish contemporary art in the exhibition Cool, Calm and Collected. The eighty works comprising the exhibition are created by forty-seven artists or artists’ groups, all of them engaged in form and aesthetics as well as current social issues.
