Sometimes classical art serves as a playful pretext for humorous winks, sometimes as a support for political demands, or as a platform for iconoclastic projects.

Presentation of "Sous le Street Art, le Louvre" by Cyrille Gouyette. Gouyette graduated with a DEA in Art History from the University of Paris, Panthéon Sorbonne. In 1993 he joined the cultural department of the Musée du Louvre , where he was responsible for the design and management of educational workshops within the museum. Responsible for programming for young audiences, he brings contemporary artists to the museum by involving them in a programme of special evenings. Since 2008 he has been in charge of the Art Education unit, dealing with teacher training, forging partnerships with schools and cultural institutions and developing international projects for an audience further away from the museum institution. Prior to this book, Cyrille Gouyette was the author of Les Hiéroglyphes (2003), Du verbe à l'écrit (2003), L'Idéal esthétique (2004), Les Élans du corps (2005), Le Goût de l'antique (2006), Le Nu féminin dans la peinture occidentale (2008).
