Born and raised in New York City, Yvonne Buchanan’s early experience of nature was primarily mediated by technologies, such as television, film, and later, the computer. The screen was nature, whether projected beams of light or pixels, with the monitor as the frame for landscape.

In this series titled Gliiitch, photographs of rocks are processed digitally, eroded and abstracted through the alteration of computer code and compression experimentation.
