Thomas’ most recent work stems from a pandemic-era urge to be “cleaner and lighter”, and so he has traded steel for canvas in this colorful series. Thomas says, “There’s an immediacy to fabric; it allows me to get shapes that I’ve always wanted to get with steel but couldn’t.”
