Glen Kaufman’s career began in the 60s during the heyday of fiber arts. A weaver, textile designer, educator, his influences were extensive -- a Fulbright in Denmark, design work in Dorothy Liebes's studio, teaching in Georgia and Japan. Glen Kaufman: Retrospective 1960 to 2010 includes double weaves, macramé, a wall hanging of polypropylene twine, collages of fabric, works of indigo on shibori, and gold leaf on paper and silk-screened, gold-leafed damask works from Kaufman's years in Asia.
