Wilhelm Mundt, born in Grevenbroich in 1959, is one of the most innovative sculptors of our time. The artist's extensive oeuvre deals with profoundly sculptural issues, negotiating some of the most pressing issues of the day in the way he finds form. In his best-known group of works, called Trashstones, begun in 1989, the form of the elegant biomorphic sculptures is determined by their content.
