Statement
Castra Leuca Contemporary Art presents the first solo exhibition by artist Sandra Birman, in Portugal, with a selection of her works from recent years. ESCAPE explores the concept of the act of escaping
through the conscious manipulation of the exhibition space.

Opening Reception
Fri, May 3 from 4:00 – 7:30pm WEST
Opening with the presence of the artist, Sandra Birman. During the opening there was a performance named ESCAPE, done by the actress Ana Dias.
Artist Talk
Sat, May 18 from 4:00 – 7:00pm WEST
There will be a talk, open to the public, between the artist and the curator where they will discuss about the artist's creation and working process. After this talk the artist, Sandra Birman, will conduct a guided tour of the exhibition.
Workshop
Sat, May 25 from 2:00 – 6:00pm WEST
The artist will conduct a workshop on fabric cutting, assembly, collage and painting. This workshop aims to share with the public the artist working method.
