The line forms the basis for the work of Gustavo Díaz (Argentina, 1969). Horizontal lines produced on his computer screen are the point of departure for Díaz’s complex but fascinating compositions; he then proceeds to manipulate these lines in elaborate configurations inspired by laws and concepts developed by mathematicians and scientists.
