Glass artist Fredrik Nielsen in conversation with Charles Burnand gallery founder, Simon Stewart.
Fredrik Nielsen is the punk star of the glass world "whose radical glass sculptures blur the boundaries of craft and art", according to Wallpaper* magazine.
An engaging storyteller whose presence is felt throughout his work. Nielsen cites glass blowing at this scale as a true team sport, with everyone together working with the scale, weight and heat of the workshop.
In this talk, Neilsen discusses how the boundaries of glass blowing redefine terminology and how they affect the appeal of his creations.
