Fontainebleau was the site of Pope Pius VII's imprisonment between 1812 and 1814 during a tumultuous period between Papal Rome and Napoleon's Paris. Presenting nearly 130 objects, this exhibition showcases never before seen loans from the Vatican and the papal sacristy.
