Statement
The Chicago Artists Coalition (CAC) is proud to present Leonard Suryajaya, BOLT Resident 2015/16, selected by Yesomi Umolu, Exhibitions Curator at the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts, and his new exhibition, Bunda, at EXPO CHICAGO/2016.

For his booth presentation, Suryajaya has conceived an immersive installation of patterns, photographs, videos, and objects that evoke order amid chaos. These complex expressions are part of the artist's ongoing questions about social unrest and its underlying tensions, as well as his meditations on motherhood, identity, desire, and allegiance in our increasingly globalized world. CAC is a part of EXPO CHICAGO's Special Exhibitions program that offers unique, high-quality presentations and site-specific work in Navy Pier’s Festival Hall.
