In her most recent series ‘Goddesses’ and ‘Nobody’s Nomads’ Karen Lee Sobol takes us on a journey across land and sea. Using rapid brushwork on unstretched canvas, the paintings undulate like ocean waves. Her work is immediate and intuitive, pulling the viewer into a world of chaotic beauty; all at once allowing for sorrow and joy, confusion and clarity, despair and hope.
