Carlos Cima works is based on dissimilar situations, in a certain atmosphere of tension and exile that materialises into a space which is distant from the represented image, a space which addresses preconceived ideas. He is interested in thinking about an icon’s capacity for appropriation and manipulation. For this, he makes use of family photo albums, and records from the suburbs of Buenos Aires.
