Celebrate the opening of Jae Ko's solo-exhibition at a free and open to the public reception on June 17 from 6:30-9M. For her debut at the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, Ko will create a site-specific installation entitled "flow 流," the newest iteration in a series she calls Force of Nature. The room-sized sculptural relief is constructed from nearly one ton of recycled commercial adding machine paper that has been re-spooled and shaped to fit the architecture of CAMH’s Zilkha Gallery. Cash bar; free admission.

oin artist Jae Ko and Senior Curator Valerie Cassel Oliver for a discussion focusing on Ko’s process, her relationship with paper, and her pathway to creating immersive installations that capture landscapes. The program will feature an in-depth conversation about Ko’s site-specific installation "flow 流" in CAMH’s Zilkha Gallery, which features hundreds of rolls of paper that are stacked to create a drawing in the space that evokes a fantastical winter landscape. Following their discussion, the audience will be invited to participate in a brief Q&A.
