In 1971 Richard Hamilton used a computer programme to achieve an editioned artwork in the form of the Five Tyres Remoulded portfolio of prints. From then on he remained consistently involved in the evolving processes of digital printing and its relationship to photography. In his later works he fully explored and demonstrated the creative potential of the computer.
