Statement
In 1987, Robert Cottingham was commissioned by the Connecticut Bank and Trust Co. to create a series of unique works depicting American Railroad Imagery. There were twelve aluminum panels of historical railroad company logos, or heralds as they are referred to in railroad jargon.
