Statement

The Artist's Autumn Exhibition dates back to 1900, and is one of the few recurrent juried exhibitions in the Danish art scene. The format is uncompromisingly democratic as the artists send in their work to be judged and selected anonymously.

Artist Talk

Artists Valérie Collart and Vibeke Tøjner – both of whom have exhibited at KE previously – will present their work this Sunday in November. The event is free once entrance has been paid. Valérie Collart primarily works with photography and sculpture, and her artistic practise explores the relationship between image and object. Vibeke Tøjner is best known for her abstract landscape paintings that explore the relationshop between surface and depth.

Hear artist Kaspar Oppen Samuelsen and Bjørn Nørgaard talk about their work and artistic practise this Sunday in November. The event is free when the entrance has been paid. The colourful paintings of Kaspar Oppen Samuelsen are often inhabited by theatrical characters performing their own stories, thus reflecting the performative and narrative elements of life. Ever since his debut in 1965, Bjørn Nørgaard has proved himself an experimental and radical artist, whose artistic practise has been focused on rethinking aesthetics and the role of the artist.
