Art and Aging: Dementia Awareness

Thu, Nov 1, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00pm UTC
Art and Aging: Dementia Awareness is a free event at Fort Worth Contemporary Arts which highlights what the community is doing to raise awareness of dementia. Our conversations will emerge out of thoughts raised by artist on view, Jordan Baseman's piece "La La La La." Join The Art Galleries at TCU and the TCU Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences as we explore the work of London based, installation film artist Jordan Baseman, and how his work intersects with topics of aging, the effects of dementia, and civil issues surrounding the disease. This event is organized by Assistant Professor in the Harris College, Michele Kimzey, and speakers include representatives from Alzheimer's Association, and Dementia Friendly Fort Worth Campaign's Linda Abel.
