With his kinetic sculptures, Theo Jansen pursues his vision of creating new artificial life forms. The exhibition at Frankfurter Kunstverein presents two of his creatures, the so-called “Strandbeests”, “Umerus” and “Ordis”.

Theo Jansens expansive kinetic sculptures are set in motion by wind and come to life. During the exhibition the visitors can see the “Strandbeests“ in action in. “Umerus” will be periodically animated by compressors.
Thursdays: 6.30 – 9 pm
Saturdays and Sundays: 2 – 5 pm
The sculpture “Ordis” (2 x 2.30 x 1.70 meters), can be moved by the visitors with their own strength, offering a physical experience.
