Still Life: Luxury and Restraint. The stylistic traditions of the Dutch and Italian 17th century still lifes are represented in three paintings from the 1640's. The artists are Willem Claesz. Heda, Simon Luttichuys and Francisco Noletti.

Still Life: Luxury and Restraint. The exhibition includes three superb still lifes from a single decade, the 1640's.
The Dutch Golden Age is represented by a large 1644 panel by Willem Claesz. Heda. Heda, who worked in Haarlem
and a 1649 still life by Simon Luttichuys, who worked in Amsterdam. The Italian Baroque Still Life of a Carpet was painted around 1648 in Rome by Francisco Noletti, who came from Malta.
