About

Tony Orrico’s artistic practice arises from and is informed by his previous experience in
contemporary dance. As a former member of Trisha Brown’s company, his works explore mental and
physical endurance, somatic drawing, choreography and the visual trace of movement. In this exhibition, Orrico explores the idea of the body as a receptacle of memory. Each mark on the paper represents a physical manifestation of a mental choreography, inviting an immersion in the
architecture of thought.
