Statement
The Dutko Gallery presents, from December 7, 2023, to January 13, 2024, the recent works of Belgian artist Guy Leclercq. This second solo show brings together around the concept of "apparition" about twenty paintings created between 2022 and 2023.

In a surprise move in the fall of 2023, Guy Leclercq has introduced color into his designs. These are lively yet subdued colors, bright in their chromatic range and transparent in their softness. A lover of lapis lazuli pigment, which imparts a sovereign blue, Leclercq does not shy away from green, gray, black, red, or beige. He offers us, on a carefully chosen palette, a range of welcoming colors. Subtle in their depth without emphasis, yet distinctly present.
