Galerie Nicolas Robert is proud to present "Sa robe est une voûte", an exhibition by Élise Lafontaine. In the shelter of alcoves, in a cell or at the liminal borders of life, Élise Lafontaine multiplies the artist residencies, in search of new pictorial experiments related to confinement. Her intimate inquiries allow her to infiltrate the prison environment (Québec, 2016), the caves of the Ariège Pyrenees (France, 2017) and the psychiatric hospital (Switzerland, 2018).
