About
Statement
We are happy to present a virtual exhibition in the gallery of a selection of her intimate hand colored etchings and screenprints. Over 40 years (1975-2005), she created around 100 different editions in collaboration with the team of the print workshop.
Press Release
Although considered the Grande Dame of Israeli painting – Lea Nikel was also a devoted Master Printmaker; over the years Lea learned many different techniques – drypoint, acquatint, monotypes and techniques which she herself invented. A significant part of this collection of works represents experiments which further inspired her oeuvre.
