Statement
For Liste 2018, Gaudel de Stampa proposes to exhibit new works by Christophe de Rohan Chabot and
Gijs Milius.
The works by Christophe de Rohan Chabot and Gijs Milius, will demonstrate these two artists’ concern with the image and its levels of interpretation.

Christophe de Rohan Chabot will present two large scale works, created with jpeg images sourced on the internet and printed on dibon (100 x 150 cm), then covered by a plexiglass screen (120 x 170 cm). His works, originating from a more or less exhaustive search around a word or a theme, take a found commonplace image and decontextualise it through its presentation.
Gijs Milius will present tree large drawings. He plays on a tension between what exists within the drawings presented and the narratives which continue beyond their frames.
