El Palmar, Nohemí Pérez’s most recent series, arises from two transversal concerns in the artist’s work. On the one hand, it continues the aesthetic investigation of the Catatumbo Panorama, where charcoal is the methodological tool for citing the exploitation of natural resources and communities. On the other, she questions the role of the landscape as a vehicle of violence and at the same time a victim of war.
