14th Annual Art of Painting in the 21st Century Conference

Sat, Oct 14, 2023 from 9:00am – 11:00pm PDT
This annual conference will feature lectures, demonstrations, and a panel discussion by leading artists and experts from across the United States. This is an excellent opportunity to gather with other like-minded artists to share ideas and nurture dialogue on contemporary painting. UC Davis, home to artist Roy de Forest, Roland Petersen, Wayne Thiebaud, and Robert Arneson, was instrumental in defining a new direction for a uniquely West Coast style. Nowhere else in the country will the participant be able to interact and discuss the purity of painting in one place. Meet face-to-face with distinguished artists you might only otherwise read about. Featured speakers include: John Seed, Chestor Arnold, Bill Maul, Alla Bartoshchuk, Carrie Ann Baade, and Ryan Martin.

Opening Reception

Sat, Oct 14, 2023 from 7:00 – 10:00pm PDT
This free opening reception will include music and refreshments. The event will also feature a book signing by John Seed, Chester Arnold, and Carrie Ann Baade.
