“Solitude being at once something that binds and unbinds us all”

Starting from seemingly banal everyday scenes, staged scenes or personal archive photographs, I use paint to shift these moments into another space-time. People seem submerged in a strange atmosphere, lost in an immensity. Often, an event seems to capture the painted person's attention: it's as if he or she is caught by a strong source of light, coming from an object or a natural element.
