Statement
Poland-based calligraphy artist, Kate Paul, combines many culture's alphabets to create her artwork. She does not experiment with calligraphy for its beauty but rather for the meaning. They say something about the world in which they were created.

There are unrevealed messages hidden on Paul's canvases, like a labyrinth the viewer is called to unscramble it and find their own meaning in the composition. She combines Arabic, Hebrew, Ancient Runes, Chinese, Korean, Japanese Polish, and Glagolitic alphabets to create a truly one of one linguistic and artisanal masterpiece. These paintings are a culmination of cultures and societies, including the viewer's. This is her vision of globalization, the world coming together on one canvas.
