For Frieze Viewing Room, Lia Rumma Gallery is pleased to present a selection of works focused on the theme “Back to Simplicity”.

Inspired by the omonyomous series conceived by Marina Abramović in 2010, Lia Rumma Gallery intends to outline - through the works presented - the widespread wish for a return to simplicity intended both in artistic and existential terms.
In the light of an increasingly complex and contradictory contemporaneity, there is in fact a common and general desire to return to the simplicity of the origins, only apparently lost and distant.
The works featured in the Viewing Room are presented as the voices of this common feeling.
