Tomas Ochoa joined a group of Arhuacos traveling the perimeter of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, following their tradition of symbolically marking the boundary of their ancestral lands. The Arhuaco mamos called this demarcation the Black Line (Linea Negra).
