Madelyn Jordon Fine Art is pleased to announce LOCAL/GLOBAL, an exhibition showcasing works by a diverse group of artists from the United States and around the world. The selected artists include El Anatsui, Angel Botello, Elisabeth Condon, Tom Friedman, Adam Handler, Catherine Howe, Patrick Hughes, John Kalymnios, Ted Larsen, Kim McCarty, Peter Nadin, Yangyang Pan, Niki de Saint Phalle, Stefan Thiel, Liz Tran, and Su-en Wong. This exhibition will run from January 19 - February 24, 2018, with an opening reception on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Recognized for their singular, visual language in contemporary art, the featured artists' employ a range of adventurous and unorthodox methodologies, materials, and sources in their creative practice. From local artists, Elisabeth Condon, who paints fabricated floral motifs, to Adam Handler's faux naïve figures, and international heavy hitters Niki de Saint Phalle, Angel Botello, and German born Stefan Thiel, each artist's distinctive voice and mode of self-expression illustrates that art making is a global, universal language unto itself.
