The galerie MAGNIN-A is proud to present its third digital exhibition: Studio 3Z.
A solo show of Ambroise Ngaimoko, studio photographer in Kinshasa between 1971 and 1999. Young Kinshasans - athletes and “sapeurs” - would go to his Studio 3Z to have their souvenir picture taken, staging themselves with the accessories and outfits of the latest fashion that they would borrow for the occasion. The Studio 3Z of Ambroise Ngaimoko, anchored in the everyday life of Kinshasa, followed the major changes of the Congolese society at this pivot time of its history.
