About
Statement
A solo exhibition of mainly large-scale works by Kenichi Yokono that highlights his sharp sensitivity and passion for surreal landscapes, parallel worlds and post-apocalyptic scenarios.
Press Release
Kenichi Yokono, born in 1972, is an artist who consistently cuts woodblocks and uses them as his art.
His characteristic is that he uses only two colors, red and white, to express his emotions.
The meaning of this is that the artist completes his self-expression purely without being influenced by anything (white), and the finished work is the product of the artist's flesh and blood (red).
This exhibition covers Yokono's relatively old works up to the present, and focuses on his larger works.
You will be able to fully enjoy his unique worldview.
