Montanaro Fine Art is pleased to present American Impressionism: Old Lyme Art Colony.

Following one of our previous exhibits, American Impressionism: Pioneers of Modernism, this current exhibit focuses specifically on the group of artists working in Old Lyme, Connecticut in the early 1900's.

While many of these artists worked in New York City and traveled internationally, Old Lyme became their seasonal oasis, where they could paint in plein air, capturing the trees turning to gold in the Fall; sunsets over the Connecticut River; the waves of Long Island Sound breaking on the rocks; or …
