Business and Growth in Post War Sonoma County With Gaye LeBaron

Thu, Apr 21, 2016 from 6:30 – 8:30pm UTC
In the era post-WWII, Sonoma County transformed from a series of farm towns to a series of cities and shifted power away from agricultural interests. In this program, Gaye LeBaron will be interviewing our panelists who were all witnesses to that transformation: Connie Codding, Mark Trione, Alan Hemphill, and Joe Imwalle. Gaye LeBaron is a well-loved community voice as the history columnist for the Press Democrat. Connie Codding was married to the late Hugh Codding, who built an empire from developing Sonoma County, served two terms on the Santa Rosa City Council, but often found himself at crossroads with the city. Connie Codding is a community leader, political activist, and philanthropist. Mark Trione is the son of Henry Trione, who was an entrepreneur who made several fortunes, a major power broker and philanthropist. Together with his brother, Vic Trione, they run the family's vineyard development company and their vineyards. Alan Hemphill has spent over 50 years in the wine industry. Joe Imwalle is the third generation to have farmed his family’s farm in Santa Rosa. Many thanks to Harry and Dee Richardson for supporting this program!
