Ro Lohin is a painter, curator, teacher, and former owner/director of the LohinGeduld Gallery, NYC. She received a BFA from UNC Greensboro, studied at NYSS, and earned an MFA from Parsons School of Design. Lohin’s work has been exhibited internationally, and awards include artist residencies at Josef and Anni Albers Foundation, Vermont Studio Center and Cite Internationale des Arts, Paris. She has taught at Alfred University, Western Carolina University, Chautauqua Institution, Mount Gretna School of Art and Cullowhee Mountain Arts. The author of two biographical articles on Nicolas Carone, David Ramm is a writer, researcher, and editor who has written biographical studies of a range of figures in the arts and politics. A former editor-in-chief of the scholarly publishing company AMS Press, he holds degrees from Indiana University, Ohio University, and Antioch College. Critic and art historian Martica Sawin was Art History Department Chair at Parsons School of Design, 1967-1995; founder of Parsons in Paris; contributing editor ARTS, NY Correspondent for Art International, 1950s and ‘60s. Publications include: Surrealism in Exile and the Beginning of the New York School; Alan Gussow: A Painter’s Nature; Yves Tanguy; Wolf Kahn, Landscape Painter; monographs on artists such as Gordon Onslow Ford, Leon Kelly, Nell Blaine, and S.W. Hayter. John Yau is the publisher of Black Square Editions. His own publications include The Wild Children of William Blake (Autonomedia, 2017) and monograph Thomas Nozkowski (Lund Humphries, 2017). Other books include Catherine Murphy (Skira Rizzoli, 2016) and A Thing Among Things: The Art of Jasper Johns (D.A.P., 2009). His next book of poems, Bijoux in the Dark, will be published in Spring 2018. A regular contributor to Hyperallergic Weekend, which he helped found, he teaches at Mason Gross School of the Arts (Rutgers University).
